It's a Hometown Christmas

Every year Forney has a Christmas parade and they close downtown Forney. They set up booths for people to sell their crafts or other things, they have bounce houses for the kids, food and live performers. This year we didn't make the parade because it was REALLY cold in the morning and it was just so toasty warm in my bed. By the time we got there the sun had warmed things up quite nicely and so it was pleasurable. The kids started off by going down this HUGE slide. I did it last year and it took FOREVER to climb the stairs. The kids just love it. Taylor did the rock wall again. Hunter wanted to at first, but his nerves got the best of him. Taylor did pretty good, but got stuck in the same spot this year as she did last year. Next was the petty zoo. They had pony rides and you could get your picture taken on a bull, well not a real one, but heck we are in Texas so it wouldn't have surprised me if it was real. We ended up in the jumpy house area. There were about six different ones the kids could play in, so we turned them loose and let them play. Can't wait till next years hometown Christmas!

This is the BIGGEST slide I have ever seen! The kids LOVE it!

Taylor on the climbing wall. She tends to get stuck in this same spot.

Amber and BFF Zack with a VERY scary Santa. He danced really strange and Amber was kind of afraid of him.

The pony ride. They had put glitter and dyed some of the ponies manes and tails. It was interesting.

Hunter practicing his roppin skills. He'll be a Texan before we know it!

Riding the bull.

How much fun! It looks like a base function of some sort!

Oh, and we've missed Hunter over here the last few weeks. We need to get the boys together during the break. Maybe after Christmas when all the hoopla dies down.
